Cartoon: Save Our Green Spaces

BACKGROUND

Prince William has warned that many of Britain's green spaces are under threat and could be lost to developers. In a  YouTube video
, the prince urges people to preserve fields and parkland as part of a campaign to create or preserve 2,012 open spaces by 2012.
THE CARTOON

The cartoon by Andy Davey from The Sun shows Prince William as a 'knight in shining  armour' trying to stop a developer with a mechanical digger and a planning permit from tearing up the fields. The prince's tunic features the St George's cross, also found on the flag of England. His shield bears the message 'Save Our Green Spaces'.
COMMENT

Looks like Prince William is a chip off the old block, i.e., takes after his father, Prince Charles.
